Center for Urban Poverty Solutions
...addressing poverty through Education, Employment and Entrepreneurship
As part of it mission to advance policy and practice towards solutions in urban communities, the Center for Urban Poverty Solutions provides professional development training for social workers, teachers, pastors, health care professionals and other human service professionals [and volunteers] working in low income urban communities.
Classes are culturally informed and emphasize an asset orientation to work with people living in poverty. Our objective is to help practitioners to develop and deliver programs and services that better equip the individuals and families they serve to liberate themselves from the negative impacts of urban poverty.
